Just steps away from the Jefferson Davis Monument, children play, parents swap stories and families share meals at the Richmond Ronald McDonald House.
Since 1980, the nine bedroom house on historic Monument Avenue has opened its door to families from across the nation and around the world, who have traveled to Richmond for medical care.
Each family arrives with hope and at the Richmond Ronald McDonald House they find a comfortable home, supportive staff and caring volunteers.
The Richmond RMHC is a non-profit organization and a member of the national Ronald McDonald House Charity. In addition to the Ronald House, the Richmond chapter also oversees Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center (reserved for the most critical patients), RMHC National Scholarship Program, RMHC Grants Program and a Family Support and Recovery Program.
The Richmond chapter's programs support the charity's overall mission - "A strong mind. A strong body. And a safe, supportive place to grow. These are things that every child needs - and deserves - to have." RMHC does this by creating, finding and supporting programs that directly benefit the health and well being of children.
Collect Pop-Tops!
Pop-Top's are the no muss, no fuss way to lend a hand to RMHC. Pop-Tops are simple, just bring clean, dry pop-tops to the Ronald House in containers that are easy to remove the pop-tops from. That's it, we'll take care of the rest!
